At My Music Festivals, we understand the importance of concert reviews in helping you make informed decisions about which shows to attend. Let us introduce you to our staff:

Oscar Gerard:

Hello everyone, my name is Oscar. I grew up in Los Angeles and was deeply inspired by the city's vibrant Party Crew Scene in the '90s. I was fascinated by the DJs I listened to and watched, which eventually led me to pursue my own path in the techno underground scene.

After a brief but exciting time as a DJ, I transitioned into festival production, spending four years building festivals for Live Nation. Through that experience, I gained invaluable knowledge and developed a deep appreciation for the hard work that goes into creating a music festival.

Now, I want to share my insights and advice to help you plan the ultimate festival experience!

Joe:

Hello everybody, my name is Joe, but I go by GlassLips when I am DJing. I have been listening to dance music tunes since I was a teen, but I really dove into the scene properly in 2018. The first show I attended was Zhu’s DUNE tour in Los Angeles during the fall of 2018 and ever since then I have been hooked. Growing up I played instrumental music in school bands, so by this point I had been a “classical” musician for over a decade. I had attended various concerts and shows ranging from classical music to metal, rock, and reggae, however I could immediately tell that EDM shows were something different to behold. The intensity of the sound, quality of the sound, and visual/lighting additions took the experience to the next level. I could tell that the crowd’s investment in the show was also greater when compared to instrumental music; you can really feel the rise and fall of energy and vibes through crowd participation at EDM shows. Of course Zhu is one of my favorite artists, but some of my other favorites include Disclosure, Alix Perez, Visages, Vladimir Dubyshkin, and Nina Kraviz. I started my journey in dance music primarily focused on house and techno, but my tastes quickly expanded to include dubstep, drum & bass, and trance. Since that first show I have attended a variety of music festivals, tour stops, single night events, and after hours shows. Dance music and the EDM scene has exposed me to an amazing culture and helped me meet lifelong friends, so I am excited to share parts of my experience with you all.
